Gumdo Canada officially assigned Douglas Lusby (2nd Dan of the Korea Haedong Kumdo Association and the World Haedong Kumdo Federation) for Assistant Master. He will be mainly in charge of colour belt classes  as of September 1, 2009, but will take some parts of teaching black belt classes as well. Douglas started his Haedong Gumdo and some other martial arts while he was in Korea. And he continued his Haedong Gumdo practice with Gumdo Canada right after he came back to Canada. Members of Gumdo Canada may now have more personalized lessons during classes as there are 2 instructors at every class.
